Joint SSP+UH COSMOS Data

As part of the first incremental release of HSC-SSP, we make a combined data set that merges HSC observations of the COSMOS field by the SSP team and the University of Hawaii available to the community.  The SSP data included in the joint processing are the same COSMOS data as the Public Data Release 1.  The additional UH data increases the depths and area.  The joint dataset includes only the broad-band photometry (grizy) and the narrow-bands are not included.  For details of the dataset, refer to the following data release paper.

The data are served through the same user interfaces as the SSP data products.  The database provides the easiest way to access the catalog data and the joint dataset is stored in the “pdr1_ssp_uh_cosmos” schema.  The images can be browsed through hscMap by selecting the SSP+UH COSMOS dataset, and the flat files can be retrieved from the directory tree.  See the data access page.

  1. include the SSP acknowledgement text
  2. include the following text: “We wish to recognize and acknowledge the very significant cultural role and reverence that the summit of Maunakea has always had within the indigenous Hawaiian community. Quality Assurance

As described in the data release paper, we have performed a number of quality assurance tests.  Some of the representative plots are shown in the paper, but all the plots for all the filters can be found below.
